Williston ND to Cut Bank, Montana- travel day

We are heading towards Glacier National Park and are staying about an hour east of the park in Cut Bank, Montana. We left early this morning from Williston where we stayed last night. It was a great spot.....even had an attached brewery. Their food was great as well.
Check out the chilly temperature this morning!!

Motel lobby full of glass sculptures

Geographical center of North America

This was a fun find in Rugby, North Dakota!

Theodore Roosevelt National Park

This park in North Dakota is one of my favorites. There are two parts, north and south. We've been to the southern park twice so went to the northern park this time. The scenery is similar but this park is smaller and not as crowded.

Skydancer Casino

I don't know why we stay at casinos because we don't gamble: don't know how, don't want to learn, can't deal with the smoke.........yadayadayada! But, it close to the International Peace Garden and the food is cheap!

International Peace Garden

This is a real gem in the middle of nowhere. It borders Canada and the US in North Dakota. It has both greenhouses and outdoor gardens that are just gorgeous!

Voyageur National Park

Located in northern Minnesota, it is mostly accessible by boat, which we did not have. The park service offers boat tours as well as private companies. We didn't time it to do either, but it is a beautiful spot.

Mall of America

This was an unplanned stop- recommended by Drake. It's a mall with an amusement park at it's center. We rode the log flume!!

George and family in Des Moine

These are pictures from our visit with George and family. We went to an arts festival in downtown Des Moine.
