Syracuse, NY to Port Huron, MI via Niagra Falls (Canadian side)

Last night We stayed at a new type of Hilton, called Tru Hilton. If you have a chance, check them out. It has an urban feel with bright color schemes and interesting furniture and lighting.

We had a long but beautiful ride through the NY countryside and into Canada to take a quick look at Niagra Falls.

From there we stayed in Ontario until coming back into the US at Sarnia and then to Port Huron. We had a hotel picked out and once we checked in (it was a Days Inn), it was so filthy we got our money back and found a HolidayInn- much better! I won’t carry on too much about the room but in addition to that there was a loud argument going on directly over the fence from our room- all kinds of yelling, cursing, kids crying......it was bad!

But now, we’ve had dinner and a shower and are enjoying our very nice room.
