After a quiet night at the Tomahawk Motel, we headed for the Four Corners, and then to Mesa Verde National Park. We saw a bit more of New Mexico that we planned because we missed a road (the back seat navigator was not paying attention!). But, it was an interesting detour just the same. Four Corners is a bit "touristy" but worth doing. We both stepped on the spot and took pictures. We then made our way to Mesa Verde. It is an amazing find- early Pueblo dwellings that were built into cliffs. Tonight we are taking a twilight tour of the cliff dwellings so I'll post photos tomorrow. We had a great dinner here the restaurant and are staying at the lodge here as well. We will miss seeing "Dallas" again (last Wednesday we were in Chicago watching fireworks), since there is no t.v.! It is like roughing it , but there is wifi.

We have so many more amazing pictures, but the internet here is running so slow. I'll try posting more later tonight. The cliff dwellings are indescribable- pictures will show more. Today we are going on a self-guided tour of several other mesa's. Can't wait!!
