Our room at the lodge at Mesa Verde was great- the view was beautiful. We spent most walking around the Mesa Verde sites. There is a tram that travels to the various sites. We were able to see several more home sites as well as some wild horses. From there we headed to Durango, CO, a really fun western town with lots of activity. The Durango Lodge is right near Main Street,so we booked a room for the night. After a quick swim we headed out. We sampled a few local brews and had dinner.

View from our room this morning.
Fire damage from the year 2000 on the mesa.

Cleve on the tram ride.
Wild horse that roams the mesa.

One of many cave dwellings form around 900 A.D.
These dwellings are amazing. Below is a pit house.

If you look closely, you can see the finer and toe holds they made to help with climbing to upper levels
Site of a Kiva, a round structure that had a roof, used in ceremonies and meetings.
Suiting up for rain!
This is why we prepared for rain- luckily it went around us!

 That's all for now!
