Chester, CA to Reno, NV

Beautiful ride through the Sierra Mountains, higher elevations and cool. We got to Reno around 2:30 and attempted to get a room at Harrahs. When Cleveland learned that bellhops were required to take our bags and gear to the room, he left. We found another non-casino hotel right near the river who would take us early (without a fee which Harrahs also insisted on). It was a great choice! We spent the remainder of the day walking, having a beer at the Sierra Nevada Brewery, getting dinner and taking a free ballet performance at an outdoor venue that was just wonderful. Reno is a beautiful place once you get away from the casinos!!
