St. John's to St. McBrides, NL

Today we headed out in warm weather, 60"s, and made our way to Cape Spear. That is the eastern most point on the North American continent- the sun hits there first as it rises. From there we drove along stopping at various stops such as Cataract Provincial park. Weather was good until we neared our stopping point at st. McBride's. At that time, the fog rolled in, enveloping us in it for the remainder of the night!

We saw a whale from this spot- it does not show up in the photo!
Waterfalls at Cataracts Provincial Park- very secluded spot down a dirt road

Our motel, the Atlantica - notice how clear it is
This was taken at a bird sanctuary, just 30 minutes later! The fog rolls in very quickly!
Wet and foggy at the sanctuary!
More to come later- we are getting ready to board the ferry from Argentia to N. Sydney- a 12 hour journey!!
