After a walk along the boardwalk we packed up and hit the road north, towards Redwood NP. It is along Rt. 101 near the coast. We saw more beautiful redwood trees, although the Avenue of the Giants, yesterday was even more spectacular. We drove through the fog most of the morning, but it finally cleared as we neared the Oregon line. The coastal views are awesome- lots of huge rocks along the shore.
We found a nice motel in Gold Beach and then located a local brewery. Since it was a brew house only, not a restaurant, we sampled the 4 on tap, and headed back to the motel to clean up and get ready for dinner.
