Fort Bragg,CA to Eureka, CA

Short trip today through the Humboldt SP "Avenue of the Giants" and then to Eureka, CA. The redwood forests were amazingly beautiful, the trees are the tallest in the world, not ruined by fire due to their height. The temperatures vary widely in this area from the 40's this morning and to the 90's inland , the 70's in the wooded areas and then back to the 60's by the coast. We dress in layers and when we stop, area either adding or taking off layers depending on the temperature. There are all sorts of tourist stops that got our attention along the way. We found a great brewery in Eureka, the Lost Coast, as well as a really good Irish pub- the fish and chips were yummy!

Coastal views

We were able to drive through a tree that was still living, named Chandelier Tree
