Union Creek, OR to Bandon, OR

Today was a short day as we headed toward the coast again. We decided to stay in Bandon, OR which is right on the water. We unloaded and checked out a nearby lighthouse. Cleve is still fighting a cold, so after he took a long afternoon nap, we headed out on foot to have dinner. We found that many businesses had already closed- on a Saturday night! We did find a diner and had a good dinner. Next we found a tavern where I had a very good porter made by Deschutes Brewery. Then it was back to the motel so Cleve could rest more.

It was very windy and chilly. The surf was really churning on the rocks- beautiful!

Coquille Lighthouse- closed long ago, but open for tours

Interesting art made with junk found on the beach

Depending on how Cleve is feeling, we'll head north on Rt. 101 tomorrow.
