Day # 2 in Albuquerque, NM

The Sandia BMW dealership in Albuquerque opened at 9:00 and we were there waiting- they said they would work us in and in the meantime loaned us a 2015 RT for the day until they could evaluate what was wrong with it. They even suggested some scenic rides in the area. What sevice! So several hours later they called to say it needs a new fuel injector and a few assorted other things (all very expensive). They need to overnight the part and hopefully it will be here tomorrow. But, we are at their mercy and have to trust that they know what is going on with it. They let us use the motorcycle overnight and will check in with them in the morning. We then booked a room at a nearby hotel in Albequerque for the night.

A few things about the motorcycle- it has no backrest so I had to sit perched on the back and hang on! It has alot more pep than the LT and takes off quickly. I had to grab hold and hope I didn't slip off the back unnoticed by the driver.

The first place we checked was Tramway Blvd. to see where the Tram heads up the mountain. The base had a Ski Museum with very familiar ski equipment from the 50 and 60's. We didn't take the tram but the views were awesome even from the base (6000 ft).

These are photos of the ride towards the tram.

I have worn several models of these as well. I am really telling my age!
My mom had pair Head skis just like these complete with her name just like these-I have them in my shed!

We Even had ski poles like these.
View from the Tramway base.

This is the Tram line- it was pretty cloudy looking up there.

Next, we headed to. Petroglyph Nat. Monument. We didn't make it to see the petroglyphs, just to the visitor center that had a few samples. It is surrounded by hills of volcanic rock.

Sample petroglyphs.
Once again, afternoon storms began rolling in. It is so different from our house where the trees hide incoming storms. You can see these coming from many miles away.
